Currently Tesla do not export their vehicles from the UK and neither will they zero rate the VAT for customers intending to export the cars themselves. Therefore Channel Islands customers will pay over £6k extra on the sale price on a new base Model 3. On a top spec Model S this increases to over £21k.
We aim to dramatically reduce this additional financial burden and ease the process of the import.
How does it work?
- You specify the Tesla model you require
- We will buy the car for you through our VAT registered UK partner company
- We’ll then export the vehicle directly to yourself and thereby allowing the reclaim of the VAT
What’s in it for us?
The cost of transportation and administration will be charged by EV Sales for this service. We have two options, either a basic service where you will deal with customs and register the vehicle yourself or a fully serviced option where we take care of everything for you. Either option will save you money from importing yourself
